CLARENDON SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION
Clarendon Scholarships are a generous award for University of Oxford students. They are given to 140 students each year. The award is given to graduate students. It is given to the most academically gifted. The award includes the full cost of tuition fees. Almost £13,800 is also given to help cover living expenses. The scholarship lasts for the duration of the course.

CLARENDON SCHOLARSHIPS REQUIREMENT
All graduate students at Oxford are eligible. In fact students don’t need to apply – they are automatically considered. This includes UK students, EU students and international students. A high first class honours degree is required. Ability and motivation are also considered in the selection process.
CLARENDON SCHOLARSHIPS ELIGIBILITY
Clarendon Scholarships are awarded on the basis of outstanding academic merit and potential to graduate students from all around the world. Scholarships are tenable in all subject areas and are open to candidates who apply for a new master’s or DPhil course by the January admissions deadline.
Applicants who hold deferred offers to start in 2019-20 are not eligible to be considered for this scholarship.
Current students who will continue to study for the same degree at Oxford in the next year are not eligible for this scholarship.
HOW TO APPLY FOR CLARENDON SCHOLARSHIP
If you apply for a full or part-time master’s or DPhil course at Oxford by the January deadline for your course, you will automatically be considered for a Clarendon Scholarship.
Applications for entry in 2019-20 can be submitted from 3 September 2018. If you wish to be considered for Clarendon, you must apply before the January deadline for your course. You can find the deadlines for your chosen course on the relevant Course page.
You do not need to submit any additional documents specifically for the Clarendon Scholarships – there is no separate scholarship application form.
